Overview
Upon successful completion of my master's degree (German Magister degree programme) at Justus-Liebig-University in Gießen in 2003 (combination of subjects: German studies, English studies, Political Science), I have been working as a freelance English instructor in adult education for 7 years. In addition, I was awarded the Cambridge ESOL Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) by the University of Cambridge. My initial part-time job as a translator from English into German has become my main profession (since February 2012).
In the course of several years, I have specialized in the following fields of expertise: economics, environmental studies, political sciences, literature, modern and postmodern philosophy, other humanities and social sciences. I like to translate texts that require a certain level of creativity as well as websites and texts intended to be published in book format.
